Weekly Address – Celebrating Fathers Day

June 18, 2011

News On The Net

My Dad taught me the value of a day of hard work.  That nothing in life is free and that you will have to work hard to do the things you wish to achieve.  After a hard days work, he still found time to attend my baseball or basketball games.  He introduced me to the game of golf, how to shoot a gun and how to change the brakes on my car.  He was my first boss at my first job, and I still remember the day we walked in to work together, shirts tucked into our blue jeans, hair combed, walking side by side to our day of work.  We sat at the dinner table, some nights for hours, until I had mastered my multiplication tables.  If I wasn’t doing good in school, I wasn’t having much fun away from school.

He was Dad.
