Peter Kinder Dripping With Mamtek

News On The Net

As this site has reported over the past week, the Missouri Republican Party has been on a blame crusade regarding the Mamtek debacle and assigning blame and pointing fingers wherever they see fit.  However, the Mamtek story took an interesting twist yesterday afternoon, when PoliticMO reported that not only did Peter Kinder play a vital role in securing financing for the troubled manufacturer, not much attention was paid to specifics in doing so.  According to the minutes of the June 15th, 2010 meeting of the Missouri Development Finance Board, a board that Lt. Governor Peter Kinder sits on, besides a product pep talk from Mamtek officials, board members asked nothing about company balance sheets or proof of contracts sold.  Minutes show member Martin motioning to approve the application for $4,646,800 in Missouri BUILD Bonds, a motion seconded by Lt. Governor Peter Kinder.  Finally, minutes show that 12 members of the board, voted to secure Mamtek with state financing.  You can read the minutes below.

As we have pointed out in previous entries, a press release from Mamtek shows them going out of their way to thank the troubled Lt. Governor and potential Republican candidate for Missouri governor, for his leadership in securing the financing necessary. These minutes give credibility to what Mamtek is bragging about.

Your move, Missouri GOP.
