Richard Tregnago – Randolph County Assessor

I respectfully ask for your vote on November 6th.

Richard strives to produce assessments that are fair & equitable.

His dedication to the duties in the Assessor’s office over the past 27 years show his commitment to the people of Randolph County.

Richard has completed 16 courses of appraisal study in the field of Mass Appraisal utilized by County Assessors. These courses involve Personal Property assessment practices, as well as Real Property valuations, and total over 450 classroom hours.

Additionally, he has completed over 520 hours of Continuing Education required for Assessors.

As an elected official, Richard believes in participating in useful services that benefit the people of Randolph County. He has served in leadership roles on the American Red Cross board, the American Cancer Society board, Moberly Lion’s Club, Huntsville Rotary Club, and is a Trustee for the Renick Education Foundation. Pat & Richard also serve as the Moniteau Township committee persons on the Randolph County Democrat Central Committee.

Richard is married to Pat, and they have a daughter, a son-in-law, and three grandchildren.

He is an active participant in the family farm operation southwest of Moberly. Richard is an avid quail hunter and enjoys the outdoors. He joined the NRA in 1997 to insure the continued private ownership of guns, and, the safe use of firearms for target shooters and hunters, as well as personal protection, through ethical, professional training offered by the NRA.

Before his election to the office of Assessor, Richard was a successful Realtor, becoming very familiar with the practices and laws affecting the sale or purchase of Real Property. This effort provided him with the background needed today in determining fair market value for property.

Richard is a staunch supporter of the “ Circuit Breaker”. A Missouri Property Tax Credit program assisting taxpayers age 65 or older, or, 100% disabled persons, and has testified before committees in the State Legislature over the past several years for the benefits this program provides to home owners, as well as some renters who pay the property tax through the landlord’s rent.

In this digital age, he embraces new technology that will provide easy access of property records, both Real & Personal, to everyone with a computer at work or home. Richard is currently working with a company that develops a property tax map system online, complete with aerial photos.

In 2009, Richard provided new digital aerial photos, as well as access to his Real Property database, at no cost to the City of Moberly for their new website, saving the City over $30,000, if they had acquired aerial photography on their own.

Richard & Pat own Real & Personal Property in Randolph County, and, they realize the responsibility of paying taxes that support the services that voters have approved.

When you go to the Polls on Election Day, November 6th, please mark your ballot for the well balanced candidate for Randolph County Assessor, Richard Tregnago.
